I am wondering how many women w/ acme have tried Accutane. My dermatologist is a big Accutane advocate (her son was almost in their commercials) so she had me try it nearly 3 years ago. I think the medication would have cleared the acme but after 3 months of side affects, I couldn't handle it anymore. In fact, I gained 20 pounds in less than 2 months when I first started it. The depression came and every other possible side affect. I strongly believe that taking Accutane had exasterbated my PCOS symptoms. And since then, I have been struggling with keeping my health under control. Maybe it's a rare occurrance what I experienced with the drug. But since a lot of us with PCOS have acme problems, I figure there has to be those out there who also tried the drug. And I really would like to know how the treatment went for them. Because maybe Accutane does have an adverse affect on us and I just don't want anyone else to have to pick up the pieces of their health after Accutane. I'm not saying that no one should try Accutane. I believe it's affective in it's treatment. But it's not for everyone.
