your doctor is wrong, and unfortunately for your bosy, you are incorrect as well. when you eat that little, you are putting your metabolism into starvation mode, and you burn muscle as food instead of fat. so yes, you will lose weight, but it will be water weight first, then muscle weight, then fat. you need to try to lose weight in a healthy way that will help your body, if you lose weight the way you are attempting, your hormones will become further messed up. the weight DID NOT cause the PCOS, PCOS didn't cause the weight either, Insulin Resistance is what causes the weight, and is what causes PCOS. you have to correct the root cause, in this case insulin resistance. If you have the willpower to stay on a 800 a day diet, than you should be able to follow low-carb fairly well, and that is the healthiest option we have (although i am not a big fan myself) love, paula
