Re: A strange thingFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netWed, 2 May 2001 10:52:04 -0400
I had a cyst burst a few years ago and it took me to the hospital with the vomiting and diarrhea symptoms you describe. The doctors thought I had appendicitis too... SO when a couple of years ago I started having pains on my right side that are similar to what you describe (ache but no vomiting) I thought I knew what was going on. I had gallstones! The point is you need to get it checked out. It could be serious. A cyst rupturing will be a rather short term pain (it will resolve itself in less than 24 hours) but gallstone pain will reoccur. The gallbladder pain was also higher and almost under the ribs on the side and back. According to PCOS: The Hidden Epidemic,If you have PCOS you have an increased tendency toward gallbladder disease.
