Re: is ketosis good?

Hi all...
I am one who was on a very strict low-carb "way of life" for quite awhile.
Ketosis to me was a very, very good thing. When my ketostix turned dark I knew I
was using that ugly stored fat for energy. Not to mention that while I was in
ketosis and low-carbing I had never felt better...great energy, positive outlook,
sleeping at night, no mood swings, facial hair lessened and many more positive
effects. I didn't limit my carbs completely...started at about 20 grams a day and
worked up to just about 40. The weight came off and although I have stopped
watching my carbs as much as I was doing I have kept the weight off for roughly 9
months. I do feel the need to get back into it...as the mood swings, depression,
low energy and hair are all starting to come back.
So, as Jodi mentioned, I also think ketosis is good for some and not for others.
I had to find what was right for me. And, what I found was that ketosis was it!!
