I just wanted to thank everyone for their support in answering my questions over the last few weeks. I finally had my first appointment with the Endocrinologist today but i wouldn't have been prepared without reading the messages previously posted by cysters and being able to ask for the treatment i need. I finally got confirmation of PCOS today from my Endocrinologist. It has only taken 12 years but finally i can start getting some help. One thing i really didn't want was to go on the birth control but i was recommended "Dianette" to sort out my irregular periods. Does anyone know if there are any alternatives to the birth control as while i want to regulate my cycles i'm happy to conceive? The Endocrinologist mentioned Clomid but said that it is only suitable for 6 to 12 months useage and didn't want to prescribe it now as i'm not trying purposefully for a child. I wasn't offered any other alternatives except HRT but the Endocrinologist said it might not regulate my cycle very well. Thanks again for everyone's help!
