Hey everyone. I've been on met for almost 2 months and it's really helped me w/headaches and losing some weight. My issue- my doctor warned me that you MUST drink at least 32 oz of water a day or you could get lactic acidosis- basically your kidneys can't handle the meds and you get lactic acid in your blood. This can be fatal! So i've been trying to drink at least 32 oz a day, but I hate water and sometimes I only drink like 16. Lately, i'll get kinda sharp pains in my side that throb for a little bit and then go away. i'm afraid that my kidneys are starting to shut down! I know I'm probably being really paranoid but I can't help being scared. Any info you know of would really help me. Thanx- Julie
