What A Pain!!From: Lisa (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 30 Apr 2001 11:39:22 -0500 (CDT)
Hi fellow Cysters!! I am in a lot of pain!! I went to my GYN and she put me on a progestin birthcontrol pill. No estregin. I am also taking Glucophage XR (one pill daily) for insulin resistance. I haven't had a period in two years. My doctor has had me on a pill called Megace which is a progestin pill at a higher doseage. The Megace kept me from having periods. Well, I stopped taking the Megace in December. I still did not cycle. So, she put me on the birthcontrol pill called Micronor. I started it last Sunday (April 22nd) and I started my period on Wednesday. It is terrible. Horrible. I am in constant pain in my lower belly and bleeding badly. It got so bad on Friday I stopped taking the Micronor and started taking the Megace again. I am still bleeding but it is slowing down and the cramping is not as horrible. I feel like I am defective. Broken. Does anyone else go through this? If so, what are you doing to make it better? Did any of you end up having to have a hysterectomy or have your uteris removed to stop the bleeding and hyperplasia. That is what I think I have again is Hyperplasia. I had it twice and that is why my doctor put me on the Megace. I just need to know I am not alone and there is hope. Thanks, Lisa Delores
