After struggeling for 7 yrs with infertility, I am persuing adopting. Now I am interested in losing the access weight brought on by PCOS. Several friends of mine have had good luck with Meridia. My Ob/Gyn does not perscribe "diet medications" and I was wondering what type of Dr I should go to ,that would be willing to help me. What are my other options? I am otherwise very healthy, I need to lose around 35-40 lbs. I have tried low carb. diets, only to have my cholesterol elevate. I walk every day and pretty much eat a regular diet. I am emotionally wiped out after dealing with infertility and the excess weight isn't helping my self image. Any ideas would be appreciated.
