i never thought i would be saying this but after many years as a vegetarian, and after tyrying for the longest to figure out how to low carb as a veggie... i went back to meat eating and my health seems to have improved a lot. well, at any rate, i have lost a lot of weight, and that wasn't happening as a veggie, even on met. i don't low carb exactly but i think the addition of more protein/fat only foods has done a lot to help my situation... i do still eat tofu and soy and read up on veg recipes but i consider myself only semi veg now.

i gavce up being veg pretty much kicking and screaming though so i can understand relucatnmce for others to do the same...
