link between low progesterone and stiffness?

Saw something interesting this morning on The Early Today Show that may relate to the joint soreness a lot of us suffer... the segment was actually about excersizing during pregnancy but the doctor said that while your pregnant you produce extra progesterone and that causes the ligaments between the joints to be more lax and able to stretch further giving a little more flexability. Since we are low in progesterone I wonder if that could be partly responsible for feeling so stiff all the time. I didn't know about the connection between progesterone and joint flexibility so I thought it was pretty interesting. Did anyone else have information on that?? Susan C. :-)
