Some of your problem might be that you should take your Met with food. Taking two pills at once is not the best way. The idea is to have them spread throughout the day to keep your insulin working correctly and evenly. If you have problems taking them spaced throughout the day, you could look into Metformin XR (it's a time release). Until you have your insulin regulated (throughout the day) you won't see any of the results that Met could provide

You may not have any automatic weight loss with Met, in some people it just helps your other efforts to work. Also, some results with Met can take a long time. Some people have started seeing results after a year or more! The main benefit of Met is to regulate your insulin production, the rest is a chain reaction.
