if you are trying to get pregnant, and you SUSPECT PCOS you should go ahead and ask the doc to run all the standard tests for it. if he is unwilling, get a referrral or go to a specialist. you also have to be careful whhat tests are run, when they are taken, and be sure to get a copy of the results yourself. if the doc says everything is normal, confirm that for yourself. PCOS is completely treatable if you are dedicated and can get the proper help from doctors, there is often infertility issues, but this in NO way means you cannot be a mother, it just take more work than normal...many of us here have dealt with this, or are dealing with this, so please feel free to let us know how we can help =) love, paula
