It would be interesting to contact the author of the article and see where he got that information. If any of you on the board had hair removal paid by the insurance (HMO or fee-for-service), please, let us know.

I know that BCP coverage has been under spotlight lately, but they have to keep in mind that many women take BCPs for other reasons than contraception (PCOS). I am on Diane, so this doesn’t apply to me, but I want to know if someone had problems getting their ins coverage. Do they just glance at the prescription and say “we don’t cover”, or do they look at the reason why a woman is prescribed BCPs?
