Am I ovulating?From: Tracie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 25 Apr 2001 01:02:52 -0500 (CDT)
Hello, I was diagnosed with PCOS in early 1999, had ovarian drilling in summer of 1999, went on avandia right afterwards. I have had a period every month since then, except for once when I ran out of medication, and my cycle lasted 60 days. On avandia, my cycles range from 26-32 days. I have the cramps and the breast tenderness before each period. Unfortunatly, the hair on my chin hasn't lightened up, and I haven't lost any weight since starting Avandia. In fact I have gained about 20 pounds since being diagnosed. My question is, am I ovulating?????? I work odd hours, and taking my temp each morning is impossible (been there done that allready). My doctor says I am, but he is a GP, and hasn't treated many women with PCOS. I need something positive in dealing with this "syndrome" for a change. I could leap and do cartwheels if I really am ovulating.....have spent the last 2 years struggling with depression stemmed from the fact that unless I can find the $$$ for the infertility treatment (hubby and I have a very limited budget), having a child is virtualy impossible. I trust you all who are dealing with the same things, please tell me if I am, or if I am not. Thanks, Tracie
