Caitlin,

I am from Canada too, and have also had the problem from about the time i was your age (i am now 30). unless your doctor changes her attitude soon, i would say it is time for a new doctor. as much as our hormones fluctuate at that age, we shouldnt have excessive hair growth. your dr. should have at least done a simple hormone test to see how high your testosterone was. i have been to an endocrinologist, gyenocologist, and now go through my gp, who referred me to these 2. all were wonderful. for me going on the pill did reduce the hair growth...i am also of uk descent, and had hair on my breasts that disappeared after going on the pill. i hope the same happens for you. i know it is tough but stay strong, at least now this is being taken seriously by more dr.'s, you just have to find them.
