Re: Alternative therapy

Hi Judi,

I too seeked help from a herbalist back in September and after a long 14 month gap without AF (August 1999 to October 2000) have had 3 by taking the herbal remedies (October, January and April).

The herbalist looks at your body as a whole and not just in parts and she explained to me that just like every other gland (ie: ovary) your pituitary gland can be undernorished and this is the one that controls the rest of them - so one of the remedies (a single herb) I take every morning works to norish the pituitary gland. The other medicine is a mixture of herbs that includes lavender, liquorice, dandelion among many others (approx 6) which help your liver, kidneys and also de-stress your body (your adrenal glands react to any stress your body is under and can cause things like headaches).

I'm booked to do a meditation and relaxation course at the end of May which again the herbalist strongly recommends.

Good Luck and think positive - I'd love to hear how you get on.

Hannah
