At > >Hi! I am currently around 486 lbs., down from 524. I have had PCOS for >god knows how long. I have had 2 pregnancies, 1 of them a miscarriage. Hi I am glad to meet you. I am wondering how heavy were you when you had your one baby? --sorry about you going through a miscarriage...I know this is very difficult. I have known very heavy women to have children. I was told due to the severity of my PCOS i would never be able to have a child even with fertility treatments. Im too sick from my own weight and health problems to even consider it--mobility problems. I havent ovulated since I was 21 as far as I know. I couldnt take any chances of getting pregnant so Ive been on birth control pills since I met my husband at age 25. Im 32 now. I dont menustrate at all when I am off them.
>I am compliling evidence for further testing for my doctor. For over a This is good that you are having your periods increase. Mine disappeared forever. I have NOT had a non-pill induced period in YEARS. I went off acouple times for a month or two and just wouldnt. 28 days is normal and that is good!
I do
>not know if I am ovulating, I am going to learn how to chart my basal
If you have PCOS you probably do.
> How is your health at your weight. I am around your size a bit smaller perhaps...and I have too many mobility concerns for example. I have known some healthy 400lbs plus people so I know this can differ. I am 32. My mother had early menopause due to severe endometrios and hystorectomy at age 30, but I do have a great- grandmother who had a child at age 55!!! She had no other children either...whew!
My husband
>is about 15 years my senior and I know he must be losing his sperms' I want to warn you of something, Clomid can cause weight gain. it also has huge hormonal affect. Also are you concerned about gaining weight from the pregnancy. I have considered trying and seeing if doctor is wrong about the infertility when I get lower in weight, but I know that if I manage to lose weight IM not sure if I want to risk weight gain since weight has been such a bad issue in my life--my body cant handle it.
> This is known to help fertility and wieght loss. Metformin has helped some women to ovulate anew!:)
And I am hoping that being on that I can ovulate and
>eventually become pregnant. I too would be interested in talking with I think it is very possible. I do know a 500lb woman who had a baby. Just be careful and make sure you find a high risk pregnancy obestrician who will help you through things the best! I think I do need to talk about some of the fertility issues on here. Really my health is not too good for a child I am disabled and I know I cant have a kid being disabled. But I am looking at my future and wondering if I truly am totally infertile for the rest of my life. My husband and I have even discussed adoption--You cant adopt while being disabled, and I may prefer an older kid but I know parenthood is a sacrifice and I want to be ready for it and sure of my decision......
