What happens after clomid

I am on clomid at the moment and it doesn't seem to be working. I know that I am not the first woman to go through this and know that my fear of never having a baby are shared by millions of women - its just that i don't know any of them and although my husband is great it is hard to imagine how I feel when he has no idea how much it scares me. We could never afford IVF and I don't know what happens after the clomid and really if it works!! Anyone got any words of encouragement because I think I need to stop feeling down and start feeling positive!!! Thanks

Hi, I have been trying to get preg. for around 2 years now. I have just finished
my first course of clomid, which was not very sucessful.  I only had one period
so I think I need a higher dosage.  I just feel that it will never happen.  How
good is clomid and what happens if it doesn't work, is there anything else.  I
could not afford IVF!
