Hi, a skin rash is usually an indication of an allergic reaction..I would see my docotr and have him evaluate it. you might be allergic to metformin or a property in it. and yes medication allergies can be very dangerous. I almost died from an allergic reaction to comapizine.It is not something to be taken lightly. Dona
