Wow, I never saw the correlation until now. About 8 years ago I was living overseas in Sweden, doing a very hard job, and became severly depressed. I had always had irregular periods and acne, but after I came back to the states, because of the depression, I just piled on the weight (I had been thin up till then) despite no changes in my eating or exercising habits. I also started to grow whiskers all over my chin. And I went down to only two or three periods a year after that. I was just recently diagnosed with PCOS, and I do believe it was exacerbaited by that stessful time in my life
