Re: Inspiration on PreganacyFrom: anonymous@obgyn.netMon, 16 Apr 2001 08:27:12 -0500 (CDT)
Laurie, I know you have had a lot of people reply to this message but I thought I would tell you my story. I dealt with infertility for 8 years. I didn't know exactly what I had. All the doctors were really confused. They didn't know about PCOS at that time. I finally moved from CA to ID and went to a new doctor fresh out of school. He diagnosed me right off and with in 6 months of being on Clomid I got pregnant. I almost gave up. I was so tired of all the infertility treatments/test and I decided that I would give this doctor a chance. At least I had a name to put with all my symptoms. By the 5 month I was ready to take a rest. He encouraged me to keep doing the clomid for another couple of months. The next month I was in his office crying out of joy that I finally was pregnant. We have 4 children now. 2 from being on clomid and 2 that just happen to show up. I know it's hard. I know what your going through, I'm still dealing with the PCOS even though I'm not going to have anymore children. In fact yesterday my ovaries hurt so bad that I had to lay down most of the day and take it easy. So I can't say it does go away after you get pregnant and I can't say that the weight gain stops but it makes it a little easier to deal with, with my little miracles around reminding me that it was all worth it in the end. Hope this helps. Sherry At Sat, 14 Apr 2001, Laurie wrote: > >Hello, I am new to this forum and I want to sy it is helpful to know I >am one of thousands if not millions with PCOS.
