Hi Neen...

My family has an extensive history of hypothyroidism and I was not diagnosed w/ it until I *forced* my doctor to do more extensive tests. The initial test came back normal (this is because the first test usually done is that for the hormone which stimulates thyroid, not the thyroid hormone itself). Low thyroid levels are so frequently underdiagnosed... you should definitely check into a family history to see if that may give you more leverage w/ your doc.

As a side note, I did not have nipple discharge w/ my hypothyroid... but had significant sleepiness, depression, and weigh gain (along with PCOS, this has not bee too much fun). Good luck... and keep yourself informed.
