My personal experience with Ritalin went from age 15-21. It helped the same at 21 as it did at 15. I quit using it at that point because I finished college and didn't use it other than during necessary "concentration time." I never had ANY withdrawal even after all those years, however I took a funny dosing. I would take a 10 mg. of reg. Ritalin with a 20mg. of Ritalin SR at the same time...the reg. to kick start the day and the SR to keep me going for many hours. Now they have Concerta which is reported to be wonderful.
