Re: Just diagnosed, what should I make sure my doctor does? From: monica (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 11 Apr 2001 08:22:33 -0500 (CDT)
Hi cindy, There are lots of other things u can have done to make sure: Ultra sound scans on your ovaries, Internal scans, These willl both show up cysts on your ovaries. Your doctor should refer you to a Gyno at a hospital, so they can they can do any other necessary tests, and keep an eye on things, They will do smear tests every time and look for any abnormalities in your cells. I came off the pill myself and that when i found out i had PCOS as I didn't come on, and I stayed off for quite a while, nut I found my mood swings were awful, and i had qiute alot of pain in that region, so i decided to go back on it again. Some doctors offer Dianette (which is meant to help) but it wasn't for me as it made me gain more weight, so its up to what u feel comfortable taking. I myself am on Marvelon (with no probs) This has settled my mood swings alot. I'm sure other people will have more things to say, but I hope this helps, As for hair removal..maybe go to a beauty consultant and see what they recommend.
