Thanks for your replies Debbie & Cathy. I don't know what you both think but sharing experiences definitely makes living with this easier on a day to day basis.

I've now been registered with this site for just over a week and the information and stories here have spurred me on to find a GP in the area that will help me. I don't feel comfortable going back to my regular GP and as a last resort I would have considered going back to my Gy even though he didn't seem to know too much about PCOS - put symptoms down to my weight - the usual story.

I'm lucky to have a wonderful mum who I spoke to last night describing my frustration and not only the physical but also mental conditions of PCOS. She sympathised because she has experienced something familiar and I'm lucky as she works for the NHS Trust here in Medway so knows alot about the different clinics etc. She works with a lady who's daughter was diagnosed with PCOS and has had children with the help of a GP (a lady) who works at a family planning clinic in the area and I've been lucky and got an appointment to see her in 2 weeks.

I'm sure it will help if I can just "vent off" my concerns and disappointments. I just want to find someone who will offer genuine professional help not only in TTC but during the early stages to. I intend to go in with all the info I've learnt and some facts from the books that I've been researching from but I hope she'll be more clued up then the other professionals I've already seen.

I've kicked started the Atkins diet again and intend to approach the whole thing with a new optamisium.

Thanks Debbie & Cathy and everyone else - you've played a huge part. I can't tell you how I'm looking forward to my appointment already - sad.....

Hannah
