Hi Heather!

It's true, women with PCOS have an increased risk of miscarriage and many of us have had them. The reasons vary of course, but one taht keep recurring is low progesterone lvels in women with PCOS. Progesterone is the hormone that allows you to hold a pregnancy. This can be helped with progsterone supplementation through suppositories, shots or creams from your doctor. Also, Dr. Glueck has found that staying on Metformin through a pregnancy can greatly reduce your rick of miscarriage. Sometimes though, as many here know, all you can do is not enough.
