Re: Natural ConceptionFrom: Dona (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 4 Apr 2001 12:17:45 -0500 (CDT)
I wish I could tell you I have had happy endings to my 3 pregnancies but I haven't. I have conscieved 2 times without drugs and once with Actos. My first pregnancy I carried to term but the baby died from a heart defect which I do not know if it was related or not to PCOS and IR(that was 6 years ago and didnt know I had PCOS at the time). I know birth defects are more common in woman with IR and gestational diabetes but I dont know if we are at any higher risk than the average person as far as birth defects. I also know that having PCOS we are at higher risk for miscarriages and a lot of us are conscidered higher risk pregnancies do to PCOS and hormones. I wish I had a better outlook on things for you. I do know of a few ladies on this board who have had children and didnt even know they had PCOS until later in life. Maybe they can read your posting and give you better info than I can. Fertile thoughts and prayors. Dona
