Question about increasing my met dosage: when to take the 4th pillFrom: Jen (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 4 Apr 2001 01:20:54 -0500 (CDT)
My doctor told me that I could up my dose from 1500 mg to 2000 mg (by taking it 4 times per day instead of 3) if I could tolerate the side effects. Well, I've decided that since the side effects have subsided, I'd like to try upping the dosage. The trouble is, my doctor is on vacation for the entire month of April, so I won't be able to ask her about when to take the 4th pill until May. Do any of you who are taking 500 mg 4 X per day have a good schedule? I know you're supposed to take it with food, so I hesitate to take it at bedtime (since eating before bedtime gives me heartburn). So should I instead add a dose in the midafternoon, with a light snack? Thanks, Jen
