Lisa,

If there was no sign of cysts on your ovaries, you cannot have PCO (polycystic ovaries). You can have PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome.) PCOS is a misnamed syndrome - doctors are finding that it is based on a hormonal imbalance, probably linked to your body's use of insulin. You do not have to have cysts on your ovaries to have PCOS. The best thing you can do to take care of yourself is to educate yourself. Many doctors are not really "up" on PCOS. You should find out exactly what your test results were - you are legally entitled to a copy. The fact that you are not ovulating is one big sign/symptom of PCOS.

A good place to start on your research is: http://www.inciid.org/cgi-brd/nph-showboard.pl/46

Good luck and welcome. Selena
