Re: Once ovaries are removed, do symptom decrease for most?

I had a LAVH/BSO just over a year ago and have not seen a diminishing of my PCOS symptoms. I've found that I actually need more estrogen HRT than other "normal" woman and I believe this could be related to my body's need to balance the estrogen against my higher testosterone due to PCOS. Also I've had great success with a natural bioidentical form of estrogen (Vivelle dot patch).

If Premphase is an artifical form of HRT this could be causing some additional problems for you. (Many women are sensitive to some of the artificial forms of HRT such as Premarin.)

Two websites I can recommend which you might find of interest:

http://www.hystersisters.com (check out the hormone jungle message board where woman are helping each other get through the surgical menopause jungle)
