I had heel spurs when I first started working as a nurse. A podiatrist
gave me a type of steroid injection into the area, and did ultrsound on
my heels for a few weeks. I also took Feldene, an antiinflammatory. I
did not have surgery, and my pain only recurs with frequent walking. I
also have orthodics for my tennis shoes now(I always were tennis shoes,
except to church). The orthodics really helped a lot. Good luck. Angie
