Just a thought for you --

I take the new time-released glocuphage (1500mg daily). It's the total of three pills but you take them all at the same time (with dinner, or your biggest meal of the day which is dinner for me). It is impossible to take the wrong amount due to a memory lapse that way. When I sit down to eat the first thing I do is take my medication out and put it in front of my plate so I won't forget it. It is very important to make sure and take the right amount on a daily basis in order for it to work properly and for your body to adjust! I wish you luck -- hope this helped.
