Hi Jody,
NO, removal of ovaries will not cure PCOS. My PCOS diagnosis was made
after tvh/bso...which means I didn't even have ovaries anymore. My
symptoms are the same as everyone else's...no change since I was a teen.
The IR needs to be tested and treated if diet alone does not help you.
Besides, the side effects of premature menopause are not so easy to deal
with. Keep your ovaries as long as possible, they do more than release
eggs. Lots of other functions of the body need ovaries, even polycystic
ones.
