Sonnet - foot painFrom: Kallie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 29 Mar 2001 13:30:27 -0600 (CST)
Sonnet were you ever diagnosed with plantar facitious? I could be spelling that last part wrong but I got this about 3 years ago. - OMG is it hard to walk when you get out of bed! Well my Dr. told me that it is the muscle on the botom of your foot that causes the problem. He gave me an anti inflamitory (relafin) and told me to get inserts. This didn't work and he refered me to a foot doctor. This doctor still said I should use the inserts but he sprayed a numbing spray on the bottom of my foot and gave me a "wonder" shot. It skeives me to even think of it but it really didn't hurt too much - certainly nothing compared to the everyday pain. The shot lasted for about a year - literally that pain was GONE. I've had it 2 more times and I am about due for another visit. But the pain starts off slow and I always put off going until it increases (cause I'm smart like that) Your stuff sounds similar - I'd check it out. I was scared to death the fist time but after seeing that the pain goes away - well heck. Oh the 2nd time I did have to go back for another shot a week later cause it didn't work well enough.
