Jillian,

There is no guarantee that you will "reverse the symptoms" if you lose weight. Women with PCOS often have a difficult problem losing weight. I know that until I started watching my carbohydrate intake I was gaining weight on a low cal diet. You might want to try cutting down on sugar and other refined carbs - it's worked for a lot of cysters.

You also should look into other treatment for PCOS. There medications out there that can help with the hair growth. Nothing will get rid of it permanently - don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
