Once ovaries are removed, do symptom decrease for most?

Hi everyone,

I am new here. I am 28 years old and have 8 year old adopted twins and 23 month old Birth Triplets. I was diagnosed with PCOS at about age 22 and have been struggling with it ever since. I have had numerous surguries to correct the cysts as they would get sooo big that the gyn. was worried that the ovary would burst or something and I was in extreme pain... I went on to have one ovary removed and then got pregnant with the triplets with help. and then a year later had the other ovary removed. I have been back and forth to the gyn. even since the removal as my overall symptoms have been getting worse not better!!!

I had thought that once the ovaries were gone that the symptoms would also go away! Do you know of anyone that has experienced this???

I am on Premphase and am gaining about 3-4 pounds a week and am being told that I am not eating right and not exercising... This isn't so I am eating right and I am exercising almost everyday!!! But I am gaining more weight than before. I have more facial hair than before! and am extrememly moody now! I still have the pelvic pain, only now it is due to scar tissue!!! and there isn't anything I can do to help with this.

Any input would be greatly appreciated and thanks for everyone being there. I am glad I found this site... I think it is really important to have support from others that now where we are all coming from

thanks and take care, JODY
