Hi TJ,

Was reading through the messages and saw your question. I have been on BetaFast GXR for 3 months. I also have been low carbing for awhile. I am losing weight and feeling wonderful. I had to stop Glucophage because of some weird reason my blood sugar would drop too low. So I tried Glucophage XR and still the same thing happened. So I told my Dr. about it and that theywere going to be doing studies on this BetaFast GXR. It's main ingredient is Gymnema Sylvestre. I have noticed no side effects with this drug at all. I am not sure that it is creating any difference as of yet. (still need to get bloodwork) I know that they started a big diabetes study on it in January 2001, at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. Hopefully more info will be forthcoming.. You can read about the product online. It is made by informulab, and its drug name is BetaFast GXR. Hope this helps some.
