glad to hear you are doing so well with all of your symptoms!

i really don't know how long a person can stay on aldactone and birth control pills... supposedly women over the age of 35 are at higher risk of stroke, etc while on the BCPs.. so age might be a factor rather than duration of use... i don't think staying on spiro by itself indefinitely would be a problem but by itself, it can lead to bleeding episodes which the BCPs keep in check...

don't know about all insulin resistant people going full blown diabetic, either. i hope not!!! taking measures early to prevent going full blown SHOULD help a lot, though.

yeah, they do... but i have read the menopause can bring about a period of normality for PCOS women since declining hormonal levels are closer to normal levels for other women. we've got too much of everything to begin with... so as those levels fall, our periods become more regular, and some PCOS women become more fertile.

ironic, huh?

so yeah, we have it... but it might not be that big a deal for us.

then again... not everything you read is true. :)
