Really don't know what to do now - nothing seems to be working

Hi all,

About 3 weeks ago, I fainted and received a nasty bump on the head for my efforts. Since then I have put on about 6 lbs (no, my diet hasn't changed and I low carb - usually under 75 grams of carbs a day) and have become very irritable and have been feeling bloated.

I take 2000 mg of met a day, watch what I eat and I'm on BC pills. Nothing has changed in my routine, but I'm feeling terrible. Also, when I take my sugar reading its in the 80 range, which I don't think is bad as some people are over 100 esp after eating.

I went to the doctor for the GTT and Testosterone blood work, so I should be hearing something back in a week or so. 6 months ago when I had the tests done, my GTT & Testosterone tests all showed increases instead of decreases and he added Avandia to my daily routine, but after being on it for 1 month I started to feel horrible - terrible muscle aches, headaches and overall lousey feeling and he ordered me to stop everything and to have a liver function test immediately (that came back ok). Then the dr. said to just stick with the met (2000 mg daily).

So does anybody have any idea as to what might be going on with me? When I first started the lo carbs and met I felt great and was losing weight and I have been doing this for over a year. Now all of a sudden nothing seems to be working. I'm thinking I may just stop the met and stick with the lo carbs to see if I can loss the weight I put on and then some. I don't think a sugar level in the 80's is that bad and I may not need the met.

I just don't know what to do now.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you all for your support and help.
