I was told by my dermatologist that you shouldn't take cyproterone acetate by itself and that it needs to be prescribed in combination with some estrogen. I have just started taking Diane 35 (BCP) to treat my PCOS symptoms such as acne and excessive hair growth. I have tried everything to help my skin including Accutane for five months to no avail. I have heard other women have had great success with the Diane 35.

Hope this helps you.
