Balloon AblationFrom: Aly (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 22 Mar 2001 20:29:14 -0600 (CST)
I had the balloon ablation procedure on Monday. Because of an emergency I did not see my doctor before he started surgery, or after he was finished, so I have some questions that have not been answered. Can anyone help me? I have terrible pain in my left side when I am about to get my period. I had this pain for several weeks straight before the procedure was done, and believed that it would go away after procedure. (On day procedure was done I had been bleeding for 132 consecutive days.) It has not. I have no ovary on that side so it has always surprised me that that is where the pain is, but has always been so. How long before I will know if this procedure worked? I understand that there will be discharge for several weeks and I have to see doctor in April. Will I know after seeing him, or not until April comes to see if I get a period or not? I assume no sex until I see the doctor. That was not mentioned and I'm from the generation that just can't call and ask. I feel very bloated, is this normal? If anyone has had this procedure or knows the answers to these questions I would be extremely grateful to have someone answer. Thank you.
