I'm on gluc. too. And from what i understand you're not supposed to go out and run a marathon if you're on it. Or presumably, anything that level of strenuous. So.. I would definately check with your DR. He/she is the only only who can really advise you on this. But yes if your trip will be really rough physically, this is certainly something you are smart to consider and should investigate further. good luck!! :)
