Hi. Your doctor should try putting you on Spironolactone(Aldactone). It is used to treat hair growth. I used to have it bad too, esp. when I was 18 (28 now). These things have turned it around greatly in the last few years: I was and use Vaniqa (a prescription hair-retardant), I'm on a combo of bcp (Loestrin) and Spironolactone, I follow a low-sugar, moderate-carb diet. It's hard to say which one worked best. I think they all work together. And it's really important not to let the weight thing get out of control. I keep myself under 130 (5'6"). If I gain, the hair tries to come back more severely. Just keep in mind that we are all affected differently so you just have to keep trying different things until something works. I'd give every treatment 3-6 months to really see if it's effective. (That was my endo's advice.) Good luck!
