Re: Ovarian Drilling and Pregnancy

Last year I was living in the UK. My doc there told me that the ovarian drilling could cure my PCOS. So I did it. First of all, it wasn't major surgery but I was sore afterwards, stayed in the hospital overnight, and bled for weeks. It made no change whatsoever in my PCOS. When I came to the States I was told that treatment was found ineffective years ago. People on here may be able to tell you more. However, I would think twice about doing it because I am pretty sure that the gyne community have found it doesn't do anything. I just did it almost a year ago...it really did nothing however going on Metformin did a ton for me. I would the medication first if I were you, but obviously you have the right to do any treatment you want.

Best of luck, Sally
