Arlene... this isn't going to be the ideal answer you were probably looking for but it's different with different women (like so many of the aspects of PCOS) . I know I noticed changed in mood swings, cravings, fatigue and weight immediately, but I've just my last 2 periods come when they were supposed to, and I've been taking glucophage for almost a year now (the first time I've had a regular period in...... well, EVER! lol) But I know there are some who take it and it starts to regulate them right away - even making them ovulate. Not sure why it took me so long but it's just like everything else with this PCOS, The only thing in my life that's been custom tailored just for me and it turns out to be symptoms of a disorder! ;-) Susan C.
