1st RE appt--what to expect?From: Zowie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 15 Mar 2001 20:04:25 -0600 (CST)
Hi ladies, I have a really stupid question. I'll be going to my first RE appt. at the end of the month. I just recently started my BCPs again and need to know what to expect at the visit. I'm scheduled to have my period on the day of the appt. Is the RE going to need to do a pelvic or other exam that my period may interrupt?? If so, I can just take the 1 wk placebo pill this coming week and be set for the 30th (my appt. date)--that is, if the pills work correctly. (Remember, I had been on _continuous_ use of the BCP in Sept, got spotting and then full blown period in Oct/Nov [while still taking the active pills mind you], upped the dosage in Nov, STOPPED in Jan. when starting Met and haven't had one since Jan. 13) --If you understood all that, I'll send you a prize. :) So I'm hoping my period will actually come this month when I stop the active pill. I just don't know what to expect at the RE appt, so if anyone could help me out, I'd appreciate it. Thank you!!!
