Hi...

I have been taking aldactone 2x a day, 100mg each. I was told this will surpress my testosterone level. I am also on loestrin- a low dose pill.

With the medicine, wieght watchers, and exercise, I have lost about 38lbs. since September. I am not IR.

My doctor just did my 6 month check up and did not retest my testosterone and recommended I take the pill for 3 months at a time. I have been having severe headaches from the hormone "imbalances" even with the medication when I get my period. He tells me there is no reason to have a period every month unless I really like them....yeah right.

I will give it a try for the next three months and see how it goes. I guess he will retest me in another 6 months, but this time because everything has been going so good, he says just keep taking the medicine. I pretty much know my testosterone is till high because if I miss one of my aldactone pills I swell in the feet and hands within a couple of hours. It is very wierd and very uncomfortable. I do not have any hair growth and the wieght is now in control as long as I stick with wieght watchers which I think is a life sentence for me now!

Good Luck, Val
