Jodi,

I totally agree with what sonnet and you said - I'm now a very hairy, acned, scarred, infertile, fat, unhealthy person battling a UK health system that does not a. believe in met., and b. appreciate the psychological issues this illness creates ....it's not just about being infertile and having menstruation issues, and no, just 'cos my Mum was hairy it's not okay!! Anyway, the thing that really struck me from your post was my experience at an all female school where I was called the "Gorilla!" - and I wonder why I've low self-esteem! My Mum also went to this school as a boarder and went through hell - shared bathrooms, dorms etc. Sometimes it amazes me how cruel other women can be!
