Airplane Seats: What's better, front or back?

Alright now you've all got me thinking about this! What do you think is
better, first row so people will walk right by - and you CAN'T turn
around in those aisles and go back! - or very back row, whose center
seats are always the last to be filled?
I'm starting to get nervous about this. If some of you are having
trouble fitting into seats at weights like 170 then me at 5'10" and 330;
it's not going to be pretty! (Although I flew from Australia through
Tokyo to S.F. last year, and it was okay. International seats are
better though!)
