Because PCOS is a syndrome there are several symptoms to this nasty illness. Everyone has different symptoms, some people do not have weight gain, some no acne. The common thread seems to be the ovarian cysts. which is how this disease got its misleading name. You may or may not be IR, some people do get very tired after eating a meal naturally. The most important thing is that your doctor does all of the proper testing, including insulin levels. Having PCOS does not mean your testosterone is going to be high. As a matter of fact, if I remember right, I do not think mine was very high, although it was out of normal range. I have all of the symptoms including excess facial and body hair, rapid weight gain, male pattern hair loss, fatigue, muscle pain, etc. etc..

Do you have skin tags? Those are always a good sign of IR.
